Top Trends for Winter 2010

August 22nd, 2010

The top trends this winter are a blend of romance and 60′s chic, glam funk and psychedelic 70′s.  The faux fur vest is back, pair it with dark skinny jeans or leather pieces such as a leather short and boots for a total Janis Joplin look. The classic almost monastic (but not so much) black dress in also back. It is body hugging, has some cutout or angled details-  definitely discard your tube dresses!- and it is  belted or has a cinched waist. Pleated skirts are also on the vibe, pair them with with knee high socks or knee high suede boots. Stephen Kelian’s knee high wool chaps over leather booties are of the  best effect. Romance is going strong with tie blouses, black structured jackets and straight leg or cigarette pants for a perfect alliance feminine-masculine. The Glam doll is also in, mixing leopard prints, lace or see through tops.

Leather or leatherette is ubiquitous here and there with small touches such as shoulder pieces on dresses or leather stripe/inset on  pants. Glam prints or funky shiny materials like lame or brocades are also reinventing your thousand and one nights.
